Frequently Asked Questions

Have a Question? We have the answer...

MY CHILD IS 5 YEARS OLD BUT I WANT THEM TO USE THE ROCKWALL ACTIVITIES AND THE HIGH ROPES.  WHICH TICKET DO I BUY?

If your child meets the weight restrictions OVER 18KG and over 100CM, and you want your child to use the harness activities, then you should buy the STUDENT ticket.  The CHILD ticket does not include harnessing activities.  Your child will need to be weighed at the front counter, so please ensure you have done this before purchasing the ticket.

MY CHILD IS 7 BUT DOESN'T WANT TO CLIMB, WHICH TICKET DO I BUY?

As your child is over 7, then you will need to buy the STUDENT ticket.

IS THERE AGE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BUMPER CARS (ORBITORS) AND CAN A CHILD SIT ON MY LAP?

It is strictly forbidden for a second rider to ride on the lap in our orbitors.  Your child must be over 100cm and have arms that are long enough to reach the controls.  Please ask our staff if you are unsure and we can test your child in the seat before you purchase a ticket.

WILL ANYONE BE THERE TO HELP MY CHILD CLIMB?

Our staff are not there to supervise your child. That is the attending caregiver's responsibility, when entering Vortex Entertainment.  Please see the terms of entry here. Please ensure you read saftey instructions within the centre and watch the videos playing on the TV screens. Your assistance with this is much appreciated.

CAN I WALK-IN AND PURCHASE TICKETS AT THE COUNTER?

Yes you can, however it is best to book online so you can secure the tickets that you want. You can walk in, however we cannot guarantee availability especially during weekends and school holidays.

CAN I RESERVE A TABLE?

No. Table seating is based on a first-come, first-served basis, and reservations are not accepted.  Our party rooms are only available to guests who have booked a party.  At times we will reserve trestle tables within our centre for an over-flow of guests that have booked a party package.  This is at the sole discretion of Vortex management.

DO YOU ALLOW OUTSIDE FOOD?

We strictly do NOT allow outside food into our centre. Should you need to fuel up during your visit you may purchase food from our café.

Please read our Terms and Conditions carefully before using the website and selecting your purchases. The conditions of sale will apply to and bind the purchaser, participant, accompanying adult or any user of any Vortex Entertainment product described in the website. Waivers should be signed only by the guardian of the child, so please ensure this is completed before coming into our centre.  Our waivers are kept in the system for a year, so no need to sign multiple waivers at each visit to Vortex.

CAN I STAY LONGER THAN 90 MINUTES?

All our sessions at Vortex Wagga are 90 minutes long.  You can purchase an additional hour at the counter if our capacity limits allow.  Please be respectful of our time limit and leave when your wristband colour has been called.  If you do not follow the rules of our centre by leaving at your scheduled time, you are putting pressure on our staff and other patrons, who have paid to be in their session.

I HAVE BOOKED THE WRONG SESSION. HOW CAN I CHANGE MY TICKETS?

It's best to email info@vortexwagga.com.au or message us on one of our social media platforms.  We do get extremely busy during the day and are unable to answer the phone if we are checking in customers.

Yes, we do have the ability to book large group sessions for your corporate gig or large party for 90 minute session.  Please enquire at info@vortexwagga.com.au for pricing and capacity details.

I'M AN ADULT, CAN I STILL CLIMB?  OR IS THIS JUST FOR KIDS?

The only restriction our centre has on all our climbing equipment, is that you need to be UNDER 113kg.  You can check your weight at our front counter if you are unsure.

CAN I JUST DROP OFF MY KIDS?

Vortex isn't a childcare centre.  It is a condition of entry that all care-givers agree to supervise the children under their care.  This includes watching their children at all times, when they are climbing or in the fixed play structures, regardless of their age.  Please see  all our terms and conditions HERE
